teh tarik… langkawi, malaysia

… pulled tea in Mandarin. A tea that would take me a while to love.

The tea is poured back and forth between two containers ( watched this process when I was in Singapore) to give a strong flavour called “pulling”.

It is such a strong black tea served with condensed milk.

You can enjoy this at Kofi tiams and restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore.

I simply love teh tarik! When I visited Brunei last year I discovered a similar drink called “teh C” also from Malaysia . . . I have some photos but haven’t posted yet :-)

Hi Sha! Great to see you with new posts again. :) Hmmm… same here. It would take me a while to get used to Teh Tarik. Something out of the ordinary, but I like how strong it is. Almost like a Flat White.
